As a printmaker my normal working methods involve producing many preliminary drawings, before commencing the 'plate-making' process. This time I have taken the drawings further and introduced coloured washes. I am very pleased with the results especially the loose and spontaneous feel, something I try to achieve with many of my etchings.

17.0 x 10.0 cm, original watercolour and pencil sketch by Carl March.
Attracted to the composition of the figure turning to look at her viewer while clutching a towel. Delicate tonal washes add to the sensitive feel of the image. Especially pleased with the finished work and suggestion of movement.
Inspired by two earlier etchings 'A' and 'After the Shower'.
Available with bespoke presentation mount £175.
Location: Figurative Paintings.
