I like to experiment with different drawing media to try and achieve a particular look or feel. Recently I have introduced more background textures to help compliment some of the strong graphic lines. Other images work equally as well with just a few simple lines, less is more.
Each print is individually hand made by myself, works are presented against dark backgrounds to show deckle edge of the papers.
Picture details are included below each image.
Original soft-ground etching by Carl March.

Sketched directly onto a prepared copper plate with a pencil, then acid etched using traditional intaglio techniques.
Unusual view-point with the model's head at the base of the image, a recurring pose in my work.
Especially pleased with the finished work showing the repeated lines, helps to give the image an illustrative quality.
Unintentional 'foul-bite' adds a welcome background texture.
