I have always enjoyed drawing and carry a sketchbook when ever possible. This collection shows my observations from visits to the Mop Fair in Stratford Upon Avon. They are mostly small in scale, usually made at the location, sometimes working across two pages to give me a wider view. I am attracted to this wider format, it inspires me and can produce some unexpected results.
Traditionally an event to hire local domestic labour, today's Mop is a busy modern fun-fair that attracts visitors of all ages. It's exciting to experience all the fun of the fair, it also provides me with some great subject matter.
